Come and try clay target shooting sessions in Adelaide

Clay target shooting is an exciting, social sport anyone can try. The International Clay Target Club in Buckland Park welcomes new participants who want to experience clay target shooting for the first time. You do not need a firearms licence, and our experienced range officers supervise every session to make sure you feel safe and confident from the very first shot.

Each session begins with a short safety briefing and guidance on how to hold, aim and fire the shotgun. After that, you will take part in live shooting under supervision and watch the clays break in the air. Many people find it a rewarding mix of focus, coordination and friendly competition.

The club operates under a strict range safety plan approved by state regulations. Visitors are expected to follow instructions at all times to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on the range.

Clay target shooting suits almost any age group and fitness level. It’s a shared experience that mixes focus and friendly competition. Many participants enjoy it as part of a family day out or as a team-building event with colleagues.

How to prepare for your first shoot

Most people arrive with no prior experience, so there’s nothing special you need to bring apart from a positive attitude and enclosed shoes. Comfortable clothing that covers the shoulders is recommended. All firearms, clay targets, and ammunition are included in the package.

Please bring photo identification on the day. Participants under 18 must be the assistance of a designated person from the club or parent with Club membership.

How to book a corporate or social group

To secure your place, contact the club through email or through the contact form. We confirm all bookings and payment details before the session. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking at least one week in advance.
