Coaching and skill development at the club

The International Clay Target Club provides coaching for shooters at every stage, from new members to experienced competitors. Coaching is available for all disciplines, including Down The Line, Skeet, Olympic Trap and 5-Stand.

Qualified instructors and experienced club members are available to help with safety, stance, target reading and consistency. Many new shooters begin with a few Come and Try sessions and then continue through private or small-group coaching to build skills and confidence.

Members can book coaching directly with the club coordinator or arrange sessions on practice days. Instruction can focus on general improvement or competition preparation for those aiming to shoot at the state or national level.

Juniors, ladies and new members are especially encouraged to take part in coaching to develop good technique early and to enjoy steady progress through the sport. The club’s goal is to support all shooters who wish to learn, compete and represent the International Clay Target Club with pride.

All members must follow the club’s safety statement and code of conduct. These documents outline how to handle firearms responsibly and maintain a respectful environment. Range officers supervise all shooting, and members are expected to uphold proper etiquette and sportsmanship at all times.

Safety is central to how the club operates. New shooters receive clear guidance and support from experienced members to help build safe habits and confidence.
